4th Mediterranean Documentary Film Festival “Mediterranean Dialogues” 24 – 27 September 2026 Karlovasi, Samos
This September, Ermias returns to the harbor of Karlovasi, casting anchor for the 4th Mediterranean Documentary Film Festival “Mediterranean Dialogues” taking place from the 24th to the 27th of September, in partnership with the Municipality of Western Samos and the University of the Aegean. The Festival will showcase 21 documentaries from seven Mediterranean countries, alongside a programme of parallel events and a special pre-festival day exploring the dialogue between cinema and other art forms.
The Mediterranean is more than a sea separating countries and cultures. It is a shared space of memory, exchange and encounter. Inspired by this idea, Mediterranean Dialogues continues, for its fourth edition, to celebrate documentary cinema as a powerful means of understanding the contemporary world and fostering dialogue across borders.
Alongside the film screenings, the Festival will host discussions with filmmakers, an art exhibition and a range of parallel events, transforming Karlovasi into a meeting place for cinema, knowledge and cultural exchange.
The Festival is organised with the support of Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center – Creative Greece (HFAC Creative Greece), the Festival’s principal institutional partner, and with the contribution of ERT- Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation.
Stay tuned!
The full screening schedule, parallel events and further information about the 4th Mediterranean Documentary Festival – Mediterranean Dialogues will be announced soon.
We look forward to welcoming you to Samos from 24 to 27 September 2026, to share the stories that connect us across the Mediterranean.
