A group of black refugees, who have just been “washed up” by the sea, represent the divine drama. A religious nurse tries to ease the pain of a sick poet. A yuppie recounts his seven deadly sins at a spa.
The film was the basic material for the film “Words and Sins”. It attempts a tragic commentary on today’s material culture and the conflict between faith and matter. The images are interspersed with important events of the 20th century through archival materials as well as television advertisements of the time.
