The film “Yiannis Ritsos – Autobiography” is a testimony-document about the life and work of the poet, who speaks about his adventurous life and reads his poems.

Filming took place in 1984 in all the places that the poet lived and created: Monemvasia, Gythio, Karlovasi Samos, Athens, at his home in Athens, as well as in the exiles Kontopouli Limnos, Ai Stratis, Makronissos and Gyaros.
